Gonzo journalism was invented by Hunter S. Thompson and is best described as a sort of journalistic writing where the author's vision on the topic and his involvement in all occassions told, replace any objectivity claimed by typical journalism.


So much for Objective Journalism. Don't bother to look for it here — not under any byline of mine; or anyone else I can think of. With the possible exception of things like box scores, race results, and stock market tabulations, there is no such thing as Objective Journalism. The phrase itself is a pompous contradiction in terms.

The HST Project
Since I had the idea of buying a used IBM selectric typewriter, the one thompson used to write on, I gave a lot of thoughts to making some kind of a Hunter Thompson Shrine at my home...
A shrine like this should definitely contain several things: a framed picture of Hunter, the selectric with a leaf of his writing, a bottle of Wild Turkey and maybe some decoration on the wall... so far, so good - you can take a look at the recent developings of my HST Project here:
